2024 Annual Meeting

2024 LYFC Fall 8U Flag, 10U and 12U Tackle, and Cheer Online Registration is CLOSED. Teams are full. 

8U (Flag Only) Registration Fee is $85

10U and 12U (Tackle Only) Registration Fee is $140

Cheer (ages 4-13) Registration Fee is $140

Football (only) skills assessment by age division as follows:

8U - July 16th, 2024 at 6:30PM 

10U - July 17th, 2024 at 6:30PM

12U - July 16th, 2024 at 7:30PM

All skills assessments will take place at the side field next to the gym on Barr Road located at 213 Barr Rd, Lexington, SC 29072

LYFC will place registrants on waiting lists after July 15th at 11:59pm or should there be more registrants than can be placed onto teams. 

Additional Information:

1. Registration fees include game jerseys for 8U flag,10U tackle and12U tackle. 

2. Registration fees for Cheer include a cheer uniform. 

3. Registration fees for 10U and 12U tackle include use of a helmet and shoulder pads. LYFC may ask for a deposit at time of issue for this equipment. 

4. LYFC is one of many recreational youth leagues in Lexington County. During fall football, the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission (LCRAC) governs the cutoff dates for each football age division, eligibility of each player, when practices can start, Sportsarama, scheduling games, and providing referees for games.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Ages 6-12 years old

Camp will be held at the football field located at 501 Ballpark Rd. Lexington, SC

FAQs:

1. What do camp attendees need to bring to camp?

Dress for the weather. June in South Carolina is hot and humid; t-shirts, shorts, and cleats (non-metallic spikes). Moisture wicking materials are a great option. Also, bring a filled water bottle with the camper's name on it. 

2. What happens if it rains?

Camp will most likely continue with very light rain. We will not continue in heavy rain, thundering or lightning.

LYFC 7on7 Flag Information:

Online registration is open January 1, 2024 though February 28, 2024.

All teams are co-ed.

Registration fee is $85.

Age Divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U.

Players will be notified about team assignment by March 3, 2024

Practices are expected to begin around the first week of March (weather permitting).

Practices and games are typically during the week (Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs). 

Practices typically last about one hour. 

Games are expected to start the end of March and conclude around the end of May. 

Practices and games will be held at the sports complex located at 501 Ballpark Rd., Lexington, SC.

2024 LYFC Winter Linemen Camp

For offensive AND defensive linemen

Ages Groups: 8U, 10U, 12U, 7th, 8th, and rising 9th graders

All experience and skill levels encouraged and welcome to register to attend

January 8, 2024 - February 1, 2024

Mon, Tues, and Thurs.

6:30PM-7:45/8PM.

Ballpark Rd Football Field

$60 for the entire camp

Registered participants will receive a performance wear t-shirt.

** Participants should dress for the weather in athletic apparel. Cleats are highly encouraged and can be any cleat from any sport as long as the "spikes" are not metal. Participants should bring a filled water bottle with their name on it. Water will not be provided. **

Why play with LYFC?

1. If you played with LYFC last season or longer but are zoned for school outside of the LYFC boundary, you can continue to play with LYFC. 

2. LYFC is one of the safer leagues to play with in the county, state, and nation. Yes, it is a bold statement. Other leagues cannot back it up. LYFC can with years of data. Just ask Dr. Jim Mensch of USC who worked with LYFC to provide certified athletic trainers to take care of our players and get them back into action. 

2.The cost to play is lower than a lot of other leagues and sports in the county. LYFC's registration fees INCLUDE the use a helmet and shoulder pads. Your hard earned money is not going towards paying the coaches. LYFC coaches are all volunteers. Each coach is CDC concussion certified and must pass a background check. 

3. LYFC fit tests players with their helmet and shoulder pads. No gear is safe if it does not fit properly.
